Trevor has been approached by ITV, to invite him to share the views and impacts on people watching programming and mental health.
This role is to ensure those experiencing mental health challenges are represented within TV, using the right language and helping to reduce the stigmas around mental health.
ITV has a huge Commitment within it's news and programme to represent the views of those living with mental health and the impact this could have upon the viewers who may be triggered into experiencing a mental health crisis based on the stories they share.
Trevor says "i will ensure the people myself and my team support at LilyAnne's Wellbeing are represented and supported within TV programming and ensuring that the views of these people with lived experience are supported"
"i am fully aware many people experiencing mental ill-health choose not to turn on the telly because this is trigging to them and my aim would be to help reduce those who isolate themself by not watching TV, ensuring TV respects and reflects how they portray mental health within the media and helping break and reduce the stigmas around mental health".
Trevor added "I am very impressed with the length ITV go to to support those experiencing mental health, taking into account lived experience and ensure there tv is reflective and takes into accounts the views of those struggling".
